Job Announcement ArticlePosition: Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC, Plumbing & Mechanical Systems)Location: DushanbeJob Type: Full-Time, On-site________________________________________About the Role:We are looking for a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical services segment of our major construction projects. You will be responsible for the design review, installation, testing, and commissioning of all mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other related installations. Your expertise will ensure our projects meet the highest standards of efficiency, sustainability, and client satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:• Oversee and manage the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems: HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and other mechanical installations on the construction site.• Review mechanical design drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure constructability and compliance.• Ensure all mechanical works adhere to relevant codes, standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.• Coordinate closely with the project management team, electrical engineers, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of all systems.• Manage scheduling, material procurement, and manpower planning for mechanical works.• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and compliance with design documents.• Identify and resolve technical issues and conflicts during the construction phase.• Prepare and review technical submittals, method statements, and RFIs (Requests for Information).• Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs).Qualifications and Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, with a strong focus on HVAC and plumbing systems, specifically on construction sites.• In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems design, principles, and equipment (chillers, boilers, pumps, air handling units, piping systems, etc.).• Strong understanding of international mechanical codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, IPC, SMACNA, NFPA).• Proficiency in relevant design and modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HVAC calculation tools) and MS Office Suite.Essential Requirement:• Fluent in English – both written and verbal.
