Head of Education Program & Fellowship Support

Role Summary

The Head of Training and Support leads the design and delivery of the leadership development program for Teach For Tajikistan Fellows. The role is responsible for preparing, coaching, and supporting Fellows to become effective teachers and leaders who can improve student outcomes in underserved schools.

Success in this role means building a strong training and coaching system that enables Fellows to grow as educators, achieve meaningful impact in their classrooms, and develop as long-term leaders committed to educational equity in Tajikistan.

The role works closely with the leadership team and collaborates with schools and educational institutions to ensure the quality, relevance, and effectiveness of the program.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement the training and professional development program for Fellows.

• Lead the planning and delivery of the Summer Institute and ongoing training sessions.

• Establish systems for coaching, mentoring, and supporting Fellows during their two-year placement.

• Monitor Fellow progress and classroom impact through structured feedback and evaluation processes.

• Develop training materials, tools, and resources to support Fellow development.

• Manage and develop the Training and Support team.

• Build partnerships with schools, universities, and education stakeholders.

• Contribute to the strategic development of the Teach For Tajikistan program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, leadership, public policy, or a related field.

• Experience in education, teacher training, leadership development, or program management.

• Experience managing teams or leading complex projects is preferred.

• Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.

• Ability to coach and develop adult learners.

• Strong commitment to the mission of expanding educational opportunity for all children.

The program is being developed by citizens of Tajikistan in alignment with national education priorities and the National Education Development Strategy through 2030. It aims to attract and prepare talented university graduates and young professionals who are ready to dedicate two years to teaching in schools, particularly in rural and underserved regions of the country. Teach For Tajikistan sees its work as a complementary contribution to the national education system and to the development of human capital in Tajikistan. The initiative is also informed by the experience of the global Teach For All network.Teach For Tajikistan is seeking a Head of Recruitment to play a key role in the launch and institutional development of the program. This is both a strategic and operational role. The person in this position will be responsible for designing, launching, and continuously strengthening the recruitment function of the organization, with a primary focus on attracting, identifying, selecting, and supporting strong candidates for the Teach For Tajikistan Fellowship.The Head of Recruitment will build the overall recruitment system for the program, including outreach, candidate attraction, candidate journey design, application management, interviews, assessment activities, and final selection processes. The role requires close coordination with the Chief Executive Officer and the marketing function to ensure that recruitment strategy, public messaging, and candidate engagement are fully aligned with the organization’s mission, communication strategy, and brand.A major priority of this role is to help form the inaugural cohort of Teach For Tajikistan participants and establish a strong, transparent, and annually repeatable recruitment model. The Head of Recruitment will work to build and strengthen recruitment channels through universities, alumni communities, education networks, professional communities, digital platforms, and other relevant partnerships.
